Thanks to the equipment available in our research laboratory, and to our dynamic and highly qualified team, throughout the years Scriba has been actively collaborating with Research Centers, Universities and Private Companies, by offering personalized services, such as:
Surface characterization: client provides the material to be analyzed and characterized. Respecting the required parameters which was previously communicated and depending on the protocol of the instrument to be used, the study can be done in a macroscopic level, by means of an optical microscope. If necessary, by taking advantage of the fluorescence lamp; or on a more structural and detailed level, by using an atomic force microscope (AFM). The acquired images are thoroughly analyzed with specific software and all the requested information by the client will be presented in a final report.
Design and fabrication of masks for photolithography and masters for replica molding: starting from a client’s idea, we provide support for development of laser masks, by making 2D and 3D designs. Once the client is satisfied with the design, we start the fabrication phase. We can also fabricate a multifunctional materials by couple different fabrication techniques and/or with different materials.
Surface patterning: patterns can be created by using multifunctional materials, whic are in the range of micro and nanoscale levels, such materials can be metal precursors, clusters of different origin, nanoparticles, polymers, soluble organic materials, biomolecules and soft materials (graphene, nanotubes and fibrils). The manufactured patterns can be provided with optical and atomic force microscopy characterization on client demand.
Design and fabrication of microfluidic devices: starting from an idea, CAD file or just a simple sketch supplied by the client, we are capable of providing a microfluidic chip, which will be ready for the usage.
Finite element analysis: simulations of the finite elements in multiphysics models can be provided by us, in order to verify the behavior of fluids inside the micro devices after the design but before the fabrication.

Scriba Nanotecnologie has a research laboratory equipped with versatile instruments to prototype (multifunctional laser marker, 3D printer, thermoforming press, spin coater, etc.) and characterize the materials surface and interface (optical and atomic force microscope), the multifunctional devices (peristaltic and syringe pumps).
