ScribaR: a versatile microfabrication tool
ScribaR is a versatile, cost-effective instrument for the fabrication of a variety of materials in 2D and 3D with micrometer features and submicrometer positioning. It includes a power-controlled laser source (IR or UV) with precise scanning.
ScribaR can be used to drill holes and vias; to cut pieces and grooves; to solder wires to contact pads; to manufacture printed electrodes, contacts, and vias; to pattern resists and multifunctional thin films; to prototype masters, masks, microfluidics; to tag components and samples; for micro-soldering and local melting.
The workflow is as simple as sketching a drawing and print it. The fabrication does not require masks. Realignment is straightforward when multiple processing steps are required.
ScribaR is the ideal rapid micro-prototyping tool for the R&D laboratory. It is configured according to the customer's needs. It can be operated in remote mode, making it suitable for use in shared facilities. A library of layouts, which is continuosly upgraded with optimised drawings, can be supplied to the customers.
